Puzzles and lollipops

My aunt in SD sent the Shecklets a surprise package with a few fun treats inside. It’s always great getting mail that you’re not expecting! And the puzzle she sent is something Shecklet #3 can easily do with both of her hands 😊

Suprise Sundaes 🍨

My Aunt Ann, surprised us with a box full of sundae toppings for Christmas! The kids were SO excited to see all of the options!

We didn’t have any ice cream in the house on Monday, so they had to wait a day to make their sugary creations. I think they would all tell you they were worth the wait.

Blue for a boy!

My brother and sister-in-law and niece are adding a new baby to their family this fall! We found out what they are having after biting into cupcakes at the splash pad today.

May Day 2015

wpid-imag1917_burst005_cover.jpgWe had a crazy doorbell ring followed by a possible Nana sighting this evening.  Out on front stoop, the kids were surprised to find colorful popcorn containers filled with blinking rings, confetti paper and gift cards to Target with Spot the dog toys attached.  Such fun!

Surprise visit!

I looked out the front window this morning and saw a strange truck & trailer parked on the opposite side of the street from our driveway.  I strained my eyes to see who was driving and got confused when a man stepped out.  He pulled out a baby gift bag and instantly it came to me…my Uncle Ron!

I couldn’t believe my eyes.  He was driving home from doing a kitchen installation (he’s a woodworker) and stopped to surprise us on his way by.  He spent 5 hours at our house – holding Ingrid, talking to the boys.  It was great!  I don’t often get a chance to talk one-on-one with him in such a relaxed setting.  Our conversations generally take place at holiday gatherings, so we don’t get to really catch up.  I was so thankful for his visit today – he made my week!
